Pajalitech Ltd is a locally-owned Kenyan company specializing in solar power installations, electrical works, and green mini-grid (GMG) development. The company operates a 16 kW solar mini-grid in Ngodhe Village, Homa Bay County, upgraded from its initial 6.6 kWp system to meet growing local demand. The mini-grid currently serves 17 connected customers.
With support from CEI Africa, Pajalitech is expanding its services through a Key Maker Model, deploying an electric grain mill and an ice-making freezer. These assets will remain under Pajalitech’s ownership and be leased to local users, enabling productive-use services in agro-processing and cold chain. This initiative targets local fishing communities and small traders—especially women—by enhancing access to milling services and food preservation while reducing reliance on diesel-powered alternatives transported from distant markets.
